Internet-based
application providing an end to end job management system. Developed
for Power+ over a two year period, the system provides staff
with the faclity to set up and process jobs, input test results
and run queries on data. The company’s customers
can then access their test results online. In addition to the
customer service benefits, Power+ has been able
to streamline many of its working practices. The system incorporates
a map-driven Flash application, where jobs are sorted
geographically for allocation to the mobile workforce. Following
implementation, fuel and accommodation
costs fell to around 80% of previous levels. The
time overhead in scheduling jobs was slashed from two days per
week to just three hours.
Power+ is the UK’s fastest growing electrical testing company.
The company was overall winner in the eBusiness of the Year
category, and shortlisted for the Business Innovation category
in the the Hull Daily Mail Annual Business Awards
2004 following completion of the first stage of development.
